Music  Site Coordinator

2023-2024 School Year

JOB SUMMARY: 

Supervise students’ arrival and departure to and from after-school music lessons for the Wilton Conservatory of Music. Lessons are held at Cider Mill School. Other related responsibilities as needed. 

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, or current HS (Junior or Senior) student.
• Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, reliable, dependable, aware, conscientious.
• Proficient use of email and smart phone, general computer skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, to think and react quickly to changing situations and make decisions on site.

 

REPORTS TO:

Coordinator, Wilton Conservatory of Music

 PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check students in and make sure that students arriving immediately after school are accounted for. 
• Supervise students while they wait for lessons to begin.
• Meet students coming on the bus from Miller Driscoll, make sure all are accounted for and immediately follow protocols if they do not arrive.
• Check that classrooms are unlocked, make sure all necessary equipment is available and set up for instructors, arrange for room changes if necessary.
• Direct students, parents & instructors to lesson rooms as needed.
• Keep accurate attendance records and make written notes regarding changes or discrepancies.
• Communicate with students and parents and provide excellent customer service.
• Provide written update on days events to Coordinator in a timely manner.
• Communicate with custodial staff, and school personnel as needed.
• Notify parents of lesson cancellations or schedule changes, as directed by Coordinator.
• Occasional set up of room, as needed.
• Possibly assist with recital set up 1x or 2x per year, during or after regular working hours.

 

 

This is a part-time position 1-2 days per week beginning at 2:00 PM (3:00 PM for HS Students) and ending at approximately 7:30/8:00 PM during the school year with possible summer hours.  Applicants must be willing to sub for other Site Coordinators as needed.
